The BCAN Founder Fellowship is a 12 week business accelerator designed for creative entrepreneurs with bold visions who are ready to go all in to grow their business. Program participants will receive holistic, intensive support to guide them through refining their business models and developing their plans for growth and sustainability.

Eligibility:

  • Company must be part of the creative sector
  • Company must be located in Baltimore City, MD
  • Must be registered as a business entity in the state of Maryland (eg. LLC, C-Corp, etc)

Selection Criteria:

  • Creativity 
  • Clear, bold vision for growth
  • Potential social impact (does your business improve quality of life in Baltimore and align with principles of conscious capitalism?)
  • Potential economic impact (what revenues has your business earned? What kinds of investments have been or could be made in your business? Does your business have the potential to create jobs in Baltimore?) 
  • Innovation 
  • Traction (what kind of momentum is building behind your business? Do you have customers? Is there clear demand for your product and services?)
  • Market opportunity 
  • Strength of team (is your team uniquely qualified to deliver your products / services? Is there clear commitment and drive?)  

Program Cost:

  • This program is free for participants, but we believe in paying it forward. Fellows are required to develop and conduct a free workshop in their community in partnership with BCAN as part of the program.
